HOW TO SPOT SNEAKY SUGARS.
Sugar in food products goes under a number of aliases. So look at the label. If you see
glucose, fructose, sucrose, corn syrup, molasses, honey, dextrose, sorghum, lactose, maltose,
galactose, concentrated grape juice or even the healthy-sounding organic evaporated cane
juice listed, it's all still sugar. And watch out for the worst offender of all—high-fructose corn
syrup. Research has shown that this cheaply manufactured sweetener goes directly to your
liver, where it is stored primarily as fat.
